**Purpose of the position**:
The Human Resources Generalist leads the daily functions of the Human Resources department including terminations, policy implementation/ monitoring, employee relations, training and development, and overall employee records maintenance. The Human Resources Generalist assists the Human Resources Manager with the implementation of changes serving the strategic goals of Mint Health + Drugs as well as ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met as they pertain to applicable privacy and employment legislation.

**Responsibilities**:
Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, timesheets, and benefits.
HRIS System Management:
- Utilize the Ceridian Dayforce HRIS System to update employee information and streamline HR processes.
- Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with IT support when necessary.
Employee Relations:
- Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation as needed.
- Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
HR Policies, Procedures and Compliance:
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures to meet legal requirements and industry standards.
- Communicate policies to employees and provide training as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with personal information protection legislation and report any breaches.
- Monitor Health and Safety practices to ensure alignment with OH&S legislative requirements.
Workplace Budgets:
- Assist in developing and managing HR budgets.
- Monitor HR-related expenses and recommend cost-saving measures when appropriate.
Training and Development:
- Identify organizational training needs and develop corresponding programs.
- Coordinate employee development initiatives and track training completion.
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPHR designation is required; PCP Designation is considered an asset.
- A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in HR roles, showcasing expertise in payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS system management.
- Preference for experience with the Ceridian Dayforce HRIS System.
**Qualifications and skills**
- Strong grasp of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws, demonstrating a commitment to compliance and ethical practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships and effective collaboration across diverse teams.

- Detail-oriented mindset coupled with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
- Proficiency in navigating employment legislation and regulatory practices relevant to daily HR transactions.
- Proven track record of successful interpersonal interactions within diverse employee groups, promoting inclusivity and mutual respect.
