**_The position is based at our head office in Candiac, but could be filled in the Montreal, Kingston, Gatineau or Ottawa regions._**

**Summary**:
Reporting to the President of Major, the Vice-President of Operations plays a key role in overseeing all areas of production, quality, and health and safety. His/her aim is to ensure that products are manufactured in a safe environment, on time and on budget. He/she will develop, maintain and continuously improve the operations under his/her responsibility, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the company's strategic objectives. The incumbent will demonstrate leadership in a multinational, multi-site environment, fostering effective collaboration at all levels of the organization, as well as with external customers and partners.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Define strategic objectives as well as systems, processes and policies related to operations, and develop action plans to achieve overall company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and relevant production, quality and health & safety requirements.
- Organize and lead Production, Quality and Health & Safety teams to effectively meet corporate objectives and performance expectations.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all plants, ensuring accurate performance monitoring.
- Manage operational budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources, and monitor expenditure within budgetary limits.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities in the areas of equipment, planning and personnel efficiency, while optimizing processes.
- Oversee the efficiency of manufacturing processes, ensuring deadlines are met, bottlenecks identified and proactively resolved.
- Analyze production processes to anticipate and manage capacity constraints, making proactive adjustments where necessary.
- Coach and develop teams, clearly defining roles, responsibilities and performance expectations for all employees.
- Contribute to the establishment of standards and processes to be implemented across all facilities to harmonize practices.
- Maintain a strong corporate culture within operational departments, ensuring alignment with the organization's values.
**Your profile**
- Bachelor's degree in operations, management, engineering or relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in operations management
- Minimum of 7 years in a senior management position in a manufacturing company
- Experience in multi-sites and multi-plant management is essential
- Experience working in the United States required
- Demonstrated ability to lead high performance work teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership skills, both within a department and within multi-functional teams;
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills;
- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written, is required.
- Willingness to travel 6 days per month in the United States.
