**Overview**
Little Cubs Learning Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counsellor to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience at our licensed childcare centre in Port Elgin, ON. As a Camp Counsellor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for school aged children. You will be responsible for leading activities, fostering friendships, and ensuring the well-being of campers while promoting personal growth and development.

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and engage with campers in various activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate programs that promote learning through play.
- Educate campers on teamwork, respect, and responsibility through structured group activities.
- Assist with daily operations of the camp, including setting up and cleaning up after activities.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure a positive camp experience.
- Provide support and guidance to campers in resolving conflicts or challenges they may face.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to child development.

**Experience**
- Previous experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is preferred.
- Background in early childhood education or tutoring and babysitting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages.
- A passion for educating and mentoring young individuals while fostering a positive environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children
- Level C First aid/CPR
- Passed Vulnerable Sector Check
- Immunization Records

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $17.20-$19.20 per hour

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
