**About Us**:
We are a groomer run, kennel free salon that understands the importance of caring for both our groomers and our clients. We are open minded and focuses on continuing education, the importance of allowing staff to grow within their roles, and overall bettering the work environment.

All appointments are booked 1-1 (no overlapping), we focus on quality over quantity and ensuring that we are genuinely caring for each dog that comes into our salon.

Are you genuinely obsessed with dogs and okay with getting a little down and dirty? We're looking for a Groomer Trainee to join our team This is an entry-level position designed to provide you with hands-on training and the skills necessary to become a professional pet groomer.

**You Will Learn & Practice**:

- Grooming services such as bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat care
- How to style and cut fur according to breed standards or client specifications
- Ensure a clean and safe grooming environment by sanitizing tools and workspaces
- How to comfort and calm pets during grooming sessions and ensure their well-being
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their needs and preferences
- Keep accurate records of grooming services provided
- Manage appointment schedules and maintain accurate records of grooming services

**Requirements**:

- Genuine love and compassion for animals, especially dogs
- Strong desire to learn and develop grooming skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Willingness to learn, be taught and accept positive critiques
- Emotional Awareness and ability to regulate your energy when needed
- Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness
- Physical stamina to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments

Pay: From $15.20 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
