**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Director, the incumbent is responsible for the overall branch performance, service quality and supporting sustainable growth.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan, direct and manage the overall operations of the branch in conjunction with company policies and procedures, ensuring delivery of quality service to our customers at all times.
- Forecast needs, establish objectives and prepare/adhere to budget.
- Observe, react and report any changes and industry / competitive developments affecting the company.
- Make recommendation to senior management regarding opportunities to enhance operations, develop business, optimize efficiencies and reduce costs.
- Be responsive to concerned or dissatisfied clients to effectively identify problem areas, refer to appropriate areas of responsibility, follow up internally, and confirm client satisfaction on a timely basis.
- Oversee and follow-up on the delivery of quality service to key clients with regularity.
- Builds relationships with customers (manufacturers, auctions etc.) to ensure long-term loyalty and provide an opportunity to solicit additional business during slower periods.
- Negotiate rates and develop relationships with 3rd party carriers and local suppliers / services providers.
- Focused effort on product throughput, asset utilization and cost control to optimize truck and rail margins.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for inspection and delivery processes.
- Provide senior management with any appropriate branch/department reports.
- Support and develop continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality of service.
- Oversee facility maintenance.
- Assist in compliance with all applicable safety standards.
- May be required to sit on internal or external committees and represent the company in legal matters.
- Responsible for recruiting, coaching, guiding, training, planning, and developing all members of the operations team.
- Work on special projects as required by Director.
- When necessity dictates, may be required to perform duties normally handled by subordinates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
