Seasonal Floor Manager

- **Specific Responsibilities**:_
- **Service Quality**_
- _Consistently creates a convivial environment of welcoming hospitality for the Guest; ensures a positive and memorable dining experience for all who visit the Beach House. Motivates all Team Members to provide exceptional Guest service._
- _Ensures that all food and beverage products served from the Kitchen and Bar are of the highest quality, served in line with service and presentation standards set out by Ownership. _
- _Upholds the Beach House Steps of Service._
- _Is an expert in understanding the food and beverage offering; follows the menu syllabus and works with BOH to ensure it is accurate at all times._
- _Leads FOH Team in properly addressing customer concerns as they arise and providing exceptional customer service to enhance guest satisfaction._
- _Takes an active role on the floor during all operating hours._
- _Supervises the FOH team in all daily tasks and ensures that the quality of product and service is to the standard set forth by Ownership._
- _Works in concert with BOH to accurately manage the POS par levels of any menu item as needed._
- _At all times, ensures the requirements set out by Serving it Right are being followed wherever the FOH Manager has visibility._
- **Facilities & Operations Management**_
- _Maintains the esthetic atmosphere of the restaurant, in the areas of music, lighting, décor and room temperature as set by Ownership._
- _Consistently monitors the cleanliness standards of the restaurant inside and outside of the property, especially bathrooms and areas visible to customers. This includes working with the GM to hold staff accountable for cleaning duties. _
- _Ensures that all staff checklists are being followed and that the service areas are kept tidy and organized at all times._
- _Promptly advises GM when there is equipment in need of repair._
- _Ensures there are adequate supplies available at all times to facilitate seamless service._
- _Participates in pre-shift and bi-weekly manager meetings. _
- _Responsible for performing accurate end-of-shift cash outs._
- _Ensuring employee hours data is accurate at all times; ensuring employees are punching in/out with every shift and punch adjustments are completed in a timely manager to ensure accuracy of payroll information._
- _Responsible for ensuring the POS system is accurate and running smoothly at all times._
- _Adheres to all policies and procedures outlined in the Policies & Procedures manual._
- **Team Management and Communication**_
- _Maintains an inspired, positive and supportive work environment for all employees._
- _Fosters relationships with the Brewery, BOH and Bar teams to create alignment in the overall running of the restaurant._
- _Implements and maintains all FOH service procedures and protocols. _
- _Assists with the recruitment, hiring and onboarding all FOH Team members. Ensures all employees are legally permitted to work in Canada._
- _Trains staff in all areas of food and beverage service. Ensures menu syllabi are followed._
- _Supports the GM in the creation of the FOH Team schedule._
- _Helps ensure staffing levels are suitable for the needs of the business and in line with labour cost targets. _
- _Helps ensure all shifts are covered at all times._
- _With GM, conducts and/or provides input into the FOH Team employee performance review process. Participates with integrity in the employee discipline process when needed. _
- _Works to control costs and create efficiencies in management of the service areas and the FOH Team._
- _Ensures all employee documentation is uploaded to HR system in a timely manner._
- _Ensures communication is clear and constant with all members of the Four Winds team._
- **Health and Safety**_
- _Leads by example in the promotion of good health and safety practices with fellow employees;ensures all FOH Team members are following all safety protocols and that the injury reporting process is followed at all times. _
- _Ensures areas are non-slip and free from tripping, burn and other accident hazards._
- _With the GM, ensures that first aid supplies are well stocked; fire extinguishers are kept up to date._
- _Enforces guidelines for proper food safety and sanitation in the kitchen at all times._
- _Manages and is responsible for ensuring at any point in time, there is a staff member that can administer basic first aid. _
- _Exemplifies and upholds Company Policies and Procedures, WCB Health and Safety regulations and BC Employment Standards at all times. This includes upholding and enforcing Four Wind’s policy of zero-tolerance for bullying and harassment between any employees and those who work with Four Winds._
