Compounded by COVID-19, aging populations, and staff burnout, nurses are increasingly looking to leave the profession. Transferring patients (moving patients between beds, stretches, and imaging tables) requires several nurses and risks injury every time. At Able Innovations, we are developing cutting-edge robotic devices to automate this process to offer safe, efficient, and dignified care. We are looking for individuals who want to develop intelligent, robust, and particle systems that we can deliver globally to combat this public health crisis. **About the position** We are looking for technicians to bolster our production team. There are abundant growth opportunities, as you will play a critical role in product development, implementation, and manufacturing. **Responsibilities**: - Assembly of electro-mechanical systems - Plan, assign, and monitor daily tasks of the production personnel - Conduct troubleshooting and product testing - Modify parts using power tools and machinery - Review Work Instructions for accuracy and update as required - Conduct work in a fashion that is exemplary to your peers - Attend occasional service trips within Canada and the US **Requirements**: - Minimum 3 years of related industrial experience - Electromechanical Technology Diploma or similar - Knowledge of manufacturing optimization principles such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Root cause analysis - Knowledge of engineering principles - Versed in reading and understanding mechanical and electrical drawings - Quality-focused, meticulous, and attention to detail when conducting work - Knowledgeable and experienced in using power tools (i.e. press drill, grinder, circular saw, sander, etc.) - Familiarity with industrial safety principles - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Fine motor skills - Ability to work independently and as a member of a team - A hard-working, focused individual who operates with a sense of urgency - Strong time management and organization skills - Good command of English language, both verbal and written - G or G2 license - Ability to travel and eligibility to enter the US - Take ownership: Take responsibility and accountability for your tasks - Proactive: When a challenge or problem is identified, you actively seek ways to address or mitigate it - Resourceful: Find creative ways to solve problems and think out of the box - Adaptable: Able to respond to rapidly changing project requirements **Application Requirements**: Please submit your resume and cover letter as a PDF with the naming format "EMT202411_Firstname_Lastname".
