**Job description**

**Responsibilities**

Set up and operation of CNC lathes and Mills with a variety of controls both conversational and with G-Code. Inspection, measurement and documentation of manufacturing dimensions and processes. Desire to program own parts an asset.

**Competencies**:

- Working knowledge of ISO G-Code.
- Working knowledge of various grades and heat treatments of metals, identification, mechanical properties and machinability.
- Proficient in the fine tuning of the machining parameters.
- Proficient with reading & interpreting manufacturing drawings, Imperial and Metric dimensioning systems, symbols including but not limited to: Geometrical tolerances, isometric views, section-views, surface finish requirements, limits and fits.
- Able to work with tight tolerances both in surface quality and geometric dimensioning.
- Inspection and record keeping in line with quality assurance requirements.
- Working knowledge and experience with metrology equipment.
- Proficient with machinist math.
- Versed in troubleshooting and debugging manufacturing processes.
- Perform and keep up with preventative maintenance and cleaning on machinery, tools, and the shop itself.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and willingness to work within compliance with Alberta OH&S act.

**Required Tools**:

- CSA approved safety boots

**Qualifications**:

- Manual machining knowledge an asset
- Red Seal Journeyman Certificate an asset, experience taken in lieu

**Job Type**:

- Full-time, overtime when required.

**Experience**:

- Machinist, 3 years
- Fusion 360 an asset.
- Esprit TNG an asset.
- Conversational programming an asset.

**Language**:

- Fluent in English

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
