**Onsite Receiver**

**Scope of Position**:
The main responsibility for the receiver is to formally accept all freight delivered to the sites main warehouse, as well as issue any stock items that reside in the main warehouse. Also to ensure the Dow database SAP reflects all needed info. We have 2 receivers and they both reside in the main warehouse with their own computer workstations. Often on the forklift but rarely ever needing to leave the warehouse space.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Accept site delivered material**
- Assist in unloading of freight into warehouse by hand and forklift
- Inspect and count for number of items and sign for the material delivered
- Process freight oldest to newest
- Verifying packing slip matches contents, physically checking specific items and opening boxes
- Confirming SAP order matches what was shipped
- Contact Vendor for inaccurate orders, part number, quantity, damaged items
- Post goods receipt in SAP to appropriate PO and scan all relevant paperwork (MTR’s, checklists, certifications)
- Specialty items (electric motors) require additional forms and tagging
- Scanned forms and hard copies sent to engineers when needed.
- Non PO items manually tracked and filed
- Secure freight with banding or shrink wrap for safe transport
- Attach paperwork to the freight, mark delivery location and move to staging area. Either staying in main warehouse for stock (Marshaler) or transported onsite to the appropriate block
- Unique or large items, sometimes processed before unload then delivered to appropriate are to avoid double handling.

**Withdrawals related to construction (one time items)**
- Withdrawal forms filled out and staged for transport
- Paperwork for construction items tracked manually

**Housekeeping**
- Keep working areas clear of hazards
- Staging freight to impact warehouse traffic as little as possible
- Keeping receiving doors clear for delivery
- Recycling of cardboard and metal banding as needed
