Bakery Assistant

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items, including cookies, pastries, and turnovers.
- Package/Bag baked goods with creativity and attention to detail.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met during food preparation and handling.
- Package baked goods for display and sale, ensuring they are presented attractively.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing work surfaces.
- Process fruit and vegetables in sellable sample contains
- Support the head baker in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.

**Skills**
- Experience or knowledge in using ovens and baking times.
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques, including baking and cooking.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy kitchen environment..
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is a plus but not required.

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33 - 50 per week
