As a member of our team, you’ll get to make an immediate, measurable impact on a global scale, within industries from aviation to manufacturing to mining. Hach is proud to be one of Danaher's Water Quality companies. Motivated by the highest possible stakes of climate change and global health, we’re working together within a rapidly digitizing industry to find innovative technologies that guarantee the safety of our water and our environment.

**The Opportunity**:
Hach is seeking a full time Field Service Technician I to join our team around the Edmonton, Alberta, Canada area.

If you have mechanical/technical troubleshooting experience, and you want to find yourself in a supportive environment that challenges you, rewards you for high performance, has 4-day workweeks, and you are looking for a place to grow, this could be the job for you

What Will I Be Doing?

Working 40 hours per week (with 3-day weekends every week except in the case of approved overtime), you’ll provide routine repair, calibrations, and preventative maintenance services for Hach equipment and instruments located on customer sites.

In your company-provided Ford F-150, with all travel expenses paid for by us, you will be traveling at least 50% of the time, supporting customers located north of Red Deer, predominately in the Edmonton area, up to Fort McMurray, and on occasion nearby in Saskatchewan. If seeing more of Canada is on your Bucket List, this is your chance

With this opportunity, you can plan to be back at home after most shifts; however, depending on customer need and team coverage, expect overnight stays here-and-there at company-approved hotels - employee safety is one of our topmost priorities

What Qualifications Do I Need?

Previous experience with Preventative Maintenance and mechanical/technical troubleshooting is a must - we especially want to hear from you if you have previous experience as an Instrument Tech

Proven ability to self-manage and take initiative; you are resilient, resourceful, and an expert at managing a busy workload with competing priorities.

You have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

What Will Make Me Stand Out?

You completed a post-secondary program in a Technical field of study.

You have previous experience in the environmental/water industry.

You’re a go-getter and “lifelong learner” who is motivated by a job well done.

You are technically, electrically, or mechanically inclined (a.k.a. you have a reputation for being “handy”).

**The Perks**:
No office to report to - this is a fully remote position with monetary reimbursement for working out of your home.

Company car (that is okay to use for personal), travel expenses paid, corporate credit card, all work equipment/PPE provided.

Full benefits starting your first day, performance-based bonus (up to $8,000 per year), Group RSP, and Pension Plan (with matching)

Comprehensive training that includes on-the-job mentorship through more senior coworkers, and a seriously supportive Manager

Limitless learning and growth opportunities.

When you join us, you’ll also be joining Danaher’s global organization, where 80,000 people wake up every day determined to help our customers win. As an associate, you’ll try new things, work hard, and advance your skills with guidance from dedicated leaders, all with the support of powerful Danaher Business System tools and the stability of a tested organization.

At Danaher, we value diversity and the existence of similarities and differences, both visible and not, found in our workforce, workplace and throughout the markets we serve. Our associates, customers and shareholders contribute unique and different perspectives as a result of these diverse attributes.
