Chabot Enterprises Ltd. is an established Winnipeg Heavy Construction company specializing in sand and gravel supply and delivery; roadway construction and earthworks projects. We are able to offer year-round employment opportunities for qualified personnel. L. Chabot Enterprises Ltd is seeking local heavy equipment operators for upcoming projects in RM of Reynolds, Winnipeg and the capital region.

Job Location: Winnipeg Capital Region

Qualifications:

- Previous experience required: minimum 2-5 years
- Reliable transportation and valid class 5 driver’s license required
- Applicants must have: steel-toe CSA safety footwear, hard hat
- Physically capable without restrictions to complete repetitive tasks
- Able to work 10 hours or more per shift
- Able to work outdoors 10 hours or more
- Mentally alert and professional
- Mechanical aptitude an asset

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Operate CAT Excavator
- Safely operate heavy construction equipment
- Perform pre-op and post-op inspection of equipment
- Complete daily maintenance and minor repairs of equipment
- Record inspection information, hours and any breakdowns
- Communicate with Supervisor and other workers by means of wireless devices, two-way radios and hand signals
- Report any incidents to Supervisor
- Follow all appropriate industry regulations and best practices
- Report serious mechanical problems to the maintenance department
- Keep machine and associated equipment tidy and in good working order

These positions are full time, permanent (50+ hrs/wk) Day Shift, Monday-Friday (some Saturdays may be required) with potential for training and professional development. Winter work also available.

**Salary**: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
