Position Overview

Education
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Obtains and maintains B.L.S

Experience
- One (1) year of previous experience working as an Attendant in an Ambulatory/OR environment required.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) required.
- Effective positive interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure is required.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, tact and diplomacy at all times is required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform moderately heavy work, involving lifting, considerable walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling.
- Demonstrated ability to lift using equipment up to 50 kgs (110 lbs.).
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment with mínimal supervision is required.
- Demonstratedability to be self-directed with an ability to think critically and prioritize workload issues is required.
- Demonstrated flexibility; must be prepared to be on stand-by for nights and weekends when required.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with patients in a courteous, customer focused manner is required.
- Demonstrated ability to respond promptly and effectively at all times
- Good computer skills are required
- This position will rotate between the ambulatory and perioperative areas
- Good work and attendance record required.
