**About us**

As an umbrella organization, the Montreal Indigenous Community NETWORK is in a unique position to connect various segments of urban Indigenous communities by supporting Indigenous and Indigenous-serving organizations working directly with community members in and around Tiohtià:ke/ Montreal.

**About the Mandate**

The Montreal Indigenous Community NETWORK has mandated a firm of specialists to analyze the organization’s IT structure and present a plan for its renewal. The said plan aims to reinforce the security and efficiency of our current IT structure. We are now seeking an IT officer to implement these updates and recommendations. The IT Officer will be under the immediate supervision of the Executive Director and will work in close collaboration with the Administration Team. It should be noted that the IT officer will be the only person with IT knowledge within the team, and for this reason, they must be very autonomous, know how to make his or her own work plan, know how to set priorities, convey their knowledge to the rest of the team (who has low IT literacy), and put in to place accessible and efficient processes for the whole team.

**Profile**
- Experience and knowledge of request management tools;
- Ability to work in both Mac and Windows environments;
- Experience in service management and cloud infrastructure;
- Experienced with vendor relations and product evaluation ;
- Demonstrate diligence in responding to requests in a timely and efficient manner ;
- Interest in participating in the IT relaunch of a small team (approximately 20 employees) ;
- Ability to communicate information technology and office automation concepts in a simple manner;
- Resourcefulness and attention to detail;
- Critical thinking and sense of initiative;
- Ability to adapt and innovate in a constantly changing environment;

**Responsibilities**
- Update and improve the organization’s infrastructure and workstations;
- Access Management;
- Implement a request management system;
- Write practical guides and manuals to document internal procedures related to IT;
- Effectively communicate IT-related processes and procedures;
- Manage the configuration and deployment of Windows and Mac OS for new workstations;
- Ensure daily performance and monitoring of computer systems;
- Plan and manage projects to meet the IT needs of the organization;
- Participate in long-term security, technical architecture and operational strategies and planning;
- Organize and facilitate meetings to report on completed and upcoming IT changes.

**Required**

Information Technology degree or equivalent experience;
**Assets**
- Experience working in a community organization;
- More than 3 years of experience in the computer field;
- Bilingualism.
