**Job Summary**:
The Math Tutor provides academic support and guidance to students in various areas of mathematics, ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus and statistics. This role involves helping students improve their understanding of mathematical concepts, enhance problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in their academic abilities. Sessions may be conducted in person or online, in individual or small group formats.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver personalized tutoring in mathematics to students at various grade levels
- Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses to create customized learning plans.
- Explain complex mathematical concepts in clear, accessible ways.
- Assist students with homework, class assignments, test preparation, and study strategies.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to support growth.
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve academic success.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student performance, and goals.
- Communicate with parents, teachers, or academic coordinators as needed to align learning strategies.
- Stay up to date on curriculum changes and testing standards.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Strong proficiency in mathematics, including specific areas: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and learning levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is an advantage.

**Preferred Qualifications (Optional)**:

- Experience with online tutoring platforms and digital whiteboards.
- Familiarity with standardized test prep (SAT, ACT, GRE, etc.).
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
- Teaching credential or tutoring certification.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
