Packaging Labourer

Boshart Industries is currently looking to fill the position of Packaging Labourer on Day Shift within our Packaging and Assembly Department. The Packaging Labourer is responsible for understanding and carrying out all packaging duties as required and is expected to pack and assemble all products within the department maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Package and assemble products
- Follow direction given by supervisor or lead hand
- Pick products for work orders making sure all transfers are done accurately
- Use of computer and handheld to print labels and receive work orders
- Organize and put any products in their designated pick slot in the packaging area
- Work well independently or as part of a team
- Work quickly and confidently in a fast-paced environment, following all Company policies and procedures
- Recommend and suggest any process improvements to increase departmental efficiency
- Maintain work areas and keep them well organized and clean

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Some education with 0-6 months working experience
- Interpersonal Skills - Effectively communicating, building rapport and relating well to all kinds of people
- Team Building - Working effectively and productively with others
- Goal Orientation - Energetically focusing efforts on meeting a goal, mission or objective
- Flexibility - Agility in adapting to change
- Problem Solving - Anticipating, analyzing, diagnosing and resolving problems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Lift at least 50 lbs.
- Forklift license an asset
- Basic mathematic skills

SHIFT: Monday to Friday - 3:30am - 12:00am
