**System Administrator (Level 2)**
**Location**: Hypid
**Term Role**: 24 Months
The System Administrator Level 2 provides guidance in systems management, and technical support for the organization’s Active Directory and Core Infrastructure Services. Reporting to the Manager of the Infrastructure Services Team, the incumbent is responsible for the planning, tailoring, installing, monitoring and maintaining of network operating systems, networking and data communications systems software. The incumbent is also responsible for product research; providing technical advice, training, guidance and direction to support, administrative and academic clients.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Three (3) year diploma/degree in Computing Science or Computer Engineering Technology or equivalent;
- MCSE Certification or equivalent is required;
- Minimum three (3) years of related experience demonstrated in depth technical knowledge of supporting and administering Microsoft Windows servers in a large complex environment;
- Demonstrated experience with Windows server:
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Experience configuring and tuning servers and experience with different data and systems architectures.
- Knowledge of SAN systems, NAS Systems, or iSCSI.
- Database administrator to Microsoft SQL server
- Administering web services such as IIS or equivalent (such as Apache/Tomcat).
- Knowledge of LAN communication protocols (TCP/IP).
- Windows Active Directory account management
- Experience and Knowledge of secure network communication protocols
- Experience of system hardening practices
- Experience in creating and updating process documentation
