**About Us**:Heartee Foods is a leading supplier of gourmet mushrooms, providing the finest quality mushrooms to farmers' markets and customers in the Ottawa Area & Western Quebec. We are passionate about delivering fresh, sustainable, and locally grown produce. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packaging Operator to join our team part-time.

**Position Summary**:As a Part-Time Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and labeling our gourmet mushrooms for distribution to our farmers' market and customers. You will ensure that all products are handled with care and meet quality and safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Reliably commute/transit to Nepean, Ottawa, Ontario (33 Capital Dr.)
- Operate and monitor packaging equipment and supplies to ensure smooth and efficient packing of mushrooms.
- Weigh, portion, and pack mushrooms into appropriate containers or packaging materials.
- Label products accurately according to specifications.
- Inspect products during packaging to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area, ensuring food safety and hygiene protocols are followed.
- Assist with inventory control and report any packaging material shortages.
- Ensure all packaged products are stored appropriately for distribution.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of packaging equipment, when necessary.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- You will be cross-trained as a farmer and delivery driver for occasional support and coverage.
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned as needed.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a packaging, food production, or warehouse environment is a strong asset.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work on weekends or early mornings as needed.
- Familiarity with food safety and handling procedures is a plus.
