The team works collaboratively with other internal Ministry programs and community partners to support children and youth facing mental health challenges by offering supports with assessment, early intervention, group services, family therapies and individualized treatment tailored to meet the unique needs of the families, children, and youth of Victoria. The team strives to support the whole family system to make a meaningful impact on child and youth mental health outcomes. **The Role** You will lead by providing clinical and administrative supervision, direction, and strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team of professional Mental Health service providers. You will contribute to developing and implementing plans, to manage, and evaluate the delivery of mental health services for children, youth, and families in the local community to ensure that team is meeting program goals and deliverables. In this role you will collaborate and build partnerships with other ministry programs, Indigenous partners, community agencies, hospitals and schools. As a vital member of this diverse team, your contributions will add to the empowerment of children, youth, and their families to navigate change and recovery with confidence. **Qualifications**: **Education and Experience Requirements** - Ph.D. in clinical/applied psychology, and registered with, or eligible for, registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC). - NOTE: If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered. - Completion of a psychological pre-or post-doctoral internship of 1600 hours in a child and youth mental health or hospital setting with specialization in formal psychological assessment, diagnoses and treatment of mental health disorders. - Experience in clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. - Minimum four (4) years experience in the provision of mental health services to children, youth and their families. - Minimum six (6) months experience supervising staff. Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s licence with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).Preference may be given to applicants with the following: - Five (5) or more years of in the provision of mental health services to children, youth and their families. - More than six (6) consecutive months of experience leading staff in a supervisory capacity.
