Hello, we are a kind loving family who is looking for a caregiver/companion for a team member to care for our 25 yr old son in our private home in Tsawwassen. Our son is in a wheelchair and is non-verbal. He has a nice disposition and is easy to care for but needs your full attention.

The successful applicant must be **reliable, punctual**, self motivated and have a cheerful disposition. We need you to be energetic, physically fit as there is a physical aspect to this job. Excellent cleanliness standards.

Our house is fully accessible and all aids are in place to maintain a safe working environment. Training will be provided. Preferred vaccinated applicant.

We want you to enjoy your time with our son and create a bond.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Assist with all aspects of daily living.
- Personal care including feeding, dressing, toileting/catheter and bowel care.
- Transfers in and out of wheelchair and bed.
- Walks in and around South Delta including driving to locations.
- Interaction and entertaining him during the day with movies, toys, to stimulate him.
- Record daily activities in log book.
- Participate with developing and implementing a Personal Care Plan.
- Administer some supplements.
- Light house-keeping duties such as his laundry, cleaning dishes, etc.
- Evening drives before he goes to bed.
- Range of motion exercises on mat and standing frame.

**Education/Experience/licences**:

- Community Support Worker Diploma or equivalent experience as a care worker
- **A MUST Drivers License**
- First Aid/CPR or will let you acquire one
- Criminal Records check

Must be able to legally work in Canada and must be able to commute to Tsawwassen within 1 hr. Please check bus schedules. Must have drivers License Candidants will be rejected otherwise.
- This job would be ideal for someone who lives in Tsawwassen or Ladner as travel time would be reduced.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $25.95 per hour

Expected hours: 21 per week
