**Job Summary**:
The Data & Artificial Intelligence team is hiring a Program Coordinator to provide coordination, planning, and operational support for a wide range of priorities, projects, and initiatives that advance the City’s enterprise data and AI strategy. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the City’s digital transformation, where data and AI are being leveraged to improve services, strengthen decision-making, and create meaningful impact for Toronto’s residents.

As a Program Coordinator, you’ll be part of a dynamic team shaping how Toronto uses data and artificial intelligence to deliver better services and smarter operations. You’ll work at the intersection of innovation and public service, supporting initiatives that enhance efficiency, transparency, and equity for residents. Working closely with technical experts, data scientists, analysts, and leadership, the Program Coordinator will ensure that projects run smoothly. This role offers opportunities for professional growth in one of the most exciting and fast-evolving areas of government.

**Major Responsibilities**:
- Provides coordination and strategic support to AI enablement and data-related initiatives led by the Director of Data & Artificial Intelligence.
- Tracks progress on major AI and data projects, monitoring deliverables, milestones, and risks, and ensuring alignment with divisional and corporate objectives.
- Develops, maintains, and summarizes key materials such as presentations, briefing notes, meeting minutes, reports, and action item trackers for AI initiatives.
- Conducts research on emerging trends in artificial intelligence, data governance, digital ethics, and public sector best practices to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Assists in the planning and delivery of proof-of-concept initiatives**,**coordinating logistics, tracking outcomes, and supporting evaluation to inform enterprise-wide adoption.
- Works collaboratively with multiple divisions and stakeholders to identify business needs, gather requirements, and support the integration of AI and data solutions into existing processes.
- Conducts data analysis and reporting to provide insights on program progress, adoption metrics, and stakeholder feedback.
- Supports the implementation of policies, procedures, and detailed project plans related to AI adoption and responsible data use.
- Coordinates responses to audit, compliance, Enterprise Architecture Review Board and incoming requests across the city regarding future AI and data projects.
- Provides additional support as required to the Director, including administrative and operational tasks to ensure projects remain on track.
- Supports the development of training materials, toolkits, and resources to build awareness and capacity for AI and data initiatives across City divisions.
- Drafts and coordinates communications content (e.g., newsletters, intranet updates, stakeholder briefings) to ensure staff and partners are informed about AI and data projects.
- Assists with documentation and knowledge sharing to strengthen the team’s overall capabilities and promote learning across divisions.
- Coordinates cross-divisional and enterprise-wide initiatives, including logistics for stakeholder engagement, workshops, training, and presentations with senior leaders and Members of Council.
- Implements detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding AI Enablement program specific requirements.
- Conducts research into assigned area ensuring that such research takes into account developments within the field of AI, corporate policies and practices, legislation and initiatives by other levels of government.
- Provides input into and administers assigned budget, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations.
- Coordinates issues and leads AI specific policy/projects/initiatives, ensuring effective teamwork and communication, high standards of work quality and organizational performance and continuous learning.
