**Working for Student Recruitment**

The Student Recruitment Centre of Expertise within the Office of the Registrar supports the future student recruitment and incoming-student enrolment needs of the University of Alberta. The National Recruitment team is situated within the Student Recruitment Centre of Expertise, alongside other teams dedicated to student recruitment activities for Faculties/Colleges, Campuses, and Graduate student recruitment.

**Position**

Reporting to the Manager of National Recruitment, the Team Lead, Future Student Experience, oversees essential student recruitment programs, including the Campus Visit Program, UAlberta Ambassador Program, Office of the Registrar Service Triage Program and Student Recruitment Special Events like Open House. Leading a team of three, the Team Lead plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional first impression of the UAlberta experience.

This role includes training and guiding 195 UAlberta Ambassadors who conduct Campus and Residence Tours, support Student Service Centre triage shifts and participate in recruitment activities. The Team Lead ensures these volunteers provide a welcoming and informative experience for prospective students and families.

In collaboration with the Manager of National Recruitment and other Office of the Registrar staff, the Team Lead supports seamless service delivery and aligns efforts with the university’s recruitment vision. Responsibilities include contributing to policy development, streamlining procedures and addressing complex issues to enhance recruitment outcomes.

**Duties**
- Build a collaborative and empowered team environment, ensuring alignment with National Recruitment and the Recruitment Centre of Expertise.
- Oversee operational needs, track budgets, and implement action plans to maximize efficiency and resource use.
- Prioritize Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigenization across portfolios, collaborate with Indigenous Enrolment Management on volunteer initiatives, and assess impact.
- Lead training programs for UAlberta Ambassadors and support volunteer development to enhance program effectiveness.
- Plan and execute recruitment events, such as Open House, coordinate with campus partners, and ensure risk management protocols are in place.
- Produce reports linking event attendance with enrollment metrics, and leverage data to propose service and process enhancements.

**Qualifications**
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum two years in post-secondary recruitment or similar environments.
- Proven supervisory experience; a supervisory development program is an asset.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Experience in volunteer leadership.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for coaching and mentoring.
- Advanced cultural awareness, particularly regarding Indigenous and international students.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
