**Job Summary**:
A Production Control Analyst in a tooling and injection molding plant plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and optimizing production processes. This role is focused on optimizing production processes, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining quality standards in a tooling and injection molding plant. A Production Control Analyst needs strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of manufacturing principles and production management techniques.
**Responsibilities**:
Your supervisor may from time to time ask you to perform other related duties not specifically included in this job description. This job's key responsibilities include:
- **Production Planning**: develop and maintain production schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources, including equipment, materials, and manpower. This involves analyzing production requirements, capacity constraints, and lead times to create achievable production plans.
- ** Inventory Management**: monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to prevent shortages or excesses. This includes forecasting demand, coordinating with suppliers, and implementing inventory control measures to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.
- ** Process Optimization**: analyze production data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing output. This may involve implementing process improvements, lean manufacturing techniques, and automation solutions to streamline operations.
- ** Quality Control**: collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that products meet quality standards and customer specifications. This involves monitoring production processes, conducting root cause analysis of defects, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
**Job Qualifications**:
- ** Education**: A college or bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations management, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in production planning, inventory management, or manufacturing operations is highly beneficial. Experience specifically in a tooling and injection molding plant or a similar manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze production data, performance metrics, and process variables to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to troubleshoot production issues, implement corrective actions, and optimize processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with production planning software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analysis tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis is often required.
