**Job Summary**:
As a **Research Anesthetist** for our Laboratory Animal Medicine & Surgery team in **Senneville (West of Montreal)**, you will provide safe anesthesia to animals for a wide range of surgeries and procedures. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

In this role, primary** responsibilities **include:

- Perform various preoperative and postoperative procedures and care including surgery room preparation, injections, and anesthesia monitoring
- Provide adequate and appropriate training of technical staff on anesthesia related topics
- Help support to different departments by providing anesthesia procedures oversight on study, technical advice, and expertise
- Provide excellent collaboration to research surgeons and staff supporting surgery

**Key Elements**:
We are looking for the following minimum **qualifications** for this role:

- College Diploma in Animal Health (New graduates are welcome), Bioecology or any related Animal Science discipline
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or any related discipline
- Good observations and communication skills
- Understanding of English is mandatory. Bilingualism French and English is preferable

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.

**Role Specific Information**:

- Location: Senneville / Free parking / Shuttle service from Sainte-Anne-De-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site
- Salary: Between 22$/hrs and 25$/hrs depending on the experience
- Annual bonus based on performance
- Schedule: Daytime Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:15 pm. Depending on the needs, you will have to do weekend rotation
- Possibility to have a condensed full-time schedule - 4 days per week between 7:00 am to 5:15 pm
- Permanent, full-time position as of the hiring - 37.5hrs per week
