**The Hygate on Lexington is a brand new retirement residence in Waterloo, ON.**

**We are looking for excellent cooks who love working with food, who are interested in being a part of “Team Hygate”.**

There are many reasons to want to be a Cook at Hygate. This includes:

- Having specific menus and recipes provided, to allow for consistent meal quality at all times.
- Mise en Place, Production sheets and other tools provided to maintain organization and always know “what’s next?”
- Contribute feedback and ideas on menus and recipes
- Have input into events and special meals, including menu options and decor
- Reasonable, steady hours, with both full and part-time schedules available.
- Brand new commercial kitchen with all the bells and whistles
- Work alongside a team of servers and dishwashers in the back-of-house area to keep everything running smoothly
- A passion for food
- Excellent cooking skills
- The ability to handle a high-volume, high-speed environment
- A valid food handler’s certificate
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior experience with batch cooking
- Attention to detail
- Did we mention a passion for food?
- A desire to bring smiles to the faces of our Residents

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15 - 37.5 per week

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:
