Our company, Advanced Material Handling is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team in the steel fabrication and machine shop. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our steel products and machined components. Your primary role will involve performing inspections, measurements, and tests to ensure adherence to industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality control procedures.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials, including steel plates, castings, chains, sprockets and machined parts to ensure they meet required specifications.

2. Inspect machined components at various stages of production, including CNC machining, welding, and assembly.

3. Inspect machined components and assembly from third-party suppliers.

4. Perform dimensional and visual inspections using in-house measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

5. Assist non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, such as magnetic particle testing (MT) and liquid penetrant testing (PT), to identify defects or flaws in welds and surfaces.

6. Conduct Hardness Testing on various material to assess their mechanical properties and ensure compliance with the drawing.

7. Document inspection results, generate inspection reports, and maintain accurate records of all quality control activities.

8. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.

9. Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality control procedures.

10. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes and maximize efficiency.

11. Stay up to date with industry advancements, new inspection techniques, and emerging quality control trends.

12. Generate Non-Conformance Reports and assist in the investigation & corrective action stages.

**Requirements**:
1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Technical certification in quality control or related field is preferred.

2. Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector in the steel manufacturing and machine shop industry.

3. Strong knowledge of steel materials, machining processes, and industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ASME).

4. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

5. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and NDT methods.

6. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify defects and deviations from specifications.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

9. Proficiency in using computer software for data entry and generating reports.

10. Willingness to work flexible hours and occasionally travel to customer sites for inspections.
