**JOB PROFILE**

The manufacture of our conveyor systems and equipment flows through several key areas of our production floor: Parts, Welding and Fabrication, Machining, Wearstripping, Assembly, and Crating. We are in need of a mechanically apt individual with experience using hand tools to join Bevco’s production team and contribute to the assembly of our conveyor equipment. This is a full-time permanent position. Our standard work week is Monday to Thurdsay from 7 AM to 5:30 PM with additional overtime work on Fridays as required to meet production deadlines.

**HOURS**
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (regular hours)
- Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:15PM (overtime on an as-needed basis)

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Parts Fabrication**
- Debur parts using Dynafile/Dynabride, belt sander, wire brush wheel sander and Lissmac deburring machine
- Use ironworkers to shear and punch stainless steel flat bar
- Use chop saw and mitre saw to cut stainless steel tubing
- Use jigs to transfer punch holes on stainless steel parts
- Use drill press to drill and countersink holes for fasteners
- Drill and tap holes in stainless steel

**Assembly**
- Installation of conveyor components on conveyor frames: legs, shafts, sprockets, bearings, drive motors, disconnects/VFDs, guards, conveyor chains, guide rail systems, pans, covers, return rolls and serpentine, splice plates, overheads, control devices, etc.
- Connect individual conveyor sections together
- Prepare guide rails for installation by cutting, deburring, bending and fitting
- Carry out quality control checks and cleaning of equipment prior to disassembly
- Assemble other Bevco equipment, including rinsers, lowerators, elevators, cap sterilizers, coolers, warmers, rinse tunnels, blow off tunnels, laners
- Operate forklift to move materials and equipment around

**Wearstripping**
- Operate table saw, planer, router, chop saw and drill presses to manufacture plastics for wearstripping
- Install wearstripping on conveyor frames

**Disassembly and Crating**
- Disassemble conveyors and equipment and prepare for crating
- Build skids and crates for the shipment of finished equipment using chop saw, skill saw, nail gun and other tools
- Arrange equipment within crates and strap down for safe shipment
- Document crate contents prior to shipping

**Installation and Service**
- Install conveyor systems and equipment at customer locations

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**
- High School Diploma
- Trades training is an asset

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Experience operating basic hand tools, saws, drills, brakes, shears, grinders, etc.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical systems and components, such as shafts, motors, sprockets, gears, pneumatics, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes (machining, welding, CNC, sheet metal work, laser or waterjet cutting)
- Ability to read and interpret technical fabrication and mechanical drawings
- Ability to read a tape measure and accurately use it prior to cutting, drilling, etc.
- Metal working and wood working knowledge and experience
