As a rapidly growing school division in Alberta, Rocky View Schools (RVS) supports the educational needs of more than 28,600 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in 53 schools to ensure they learn, belong and succeed.
RVS issituated on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta including the Siksikaitsitapi (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Amskapi Pikuni), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations (Bearspaw, Chiniki, Goodstoney), and the Rocky View Métis District.
The Opportunity
**Please note**: This position is also open to those teachers holding a Continuing Contract in RVS.
RVS supports the concept of teacher as designer of learning. As such we subscribe to the use of technology to advance our school initiatives. We utilize technology to creatively collaborate and inspire schools, administrators, and staff with their initiatives.
**Responsibilities for this position will include**:
Support RVS educational technologies
Support innovative and emerging technologies
Support the use of assistive and augmentative technologies
Working with Design Thinking and Instructional Design
Working with the Making Learning Visible Initiative
Providing and conducting professional learning opportunities for staff
Graduate work in Education Technology will be considered an asset
