CityKidz is a non-profit, Christian organization dedicated to increasing resiliency and inspiring big dreams for Canadian children living in low-income communities by providing inspirational experiences and nurturing personal relationships, one child at a time.

**Overview**:
The Bus Driver is responsible for supporting the implementation of CityKidz programs by safely transporting participants, volunteers and staff to and from CityKidz programs.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Preparation**
- Prepare for trip by researching the route and being knowledgeable of any closures
- Complete a circle check prior to the bus departing
- Communicate any concerns to the Coordinator of Operations or designated site leader

**2. Transportation**
- Adhere to all laws and CityKidz policies while operating the bus
- Communicate with the Bus Leader regarding any concerns in the route, activity on the bus, or operation of the bus

**3. End of Trip**
- Complete end of trip paperwork and leave in the bus binder
- Ensure the bus is properly cleaned and sanitized
- Ensure bus is parked with the battery secure

**4. Other responsibilities as assigned**

**Qualifications**:
**The Bus Driver should know**:

- the values of CityKidz
- the policies and procedures of CityKidz
- the details for CityKidz Programs

**The Bus Driver should be able to**:

- maintain control of the CityKidz bus
- adhere to all traffic laws
- complete a circle check and the required paperwork
- communicate with bus team members regarding timing, changing circumstances and concerns with the bus
- adapt to meet the needs of the CityKidz Saturday Programs

**The Bus Driver must have**:

- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Valid Class B or C Driver’s License
- Previous experience with CityKidz routes preferred
