BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions is seeking a passionate and driven Service Lead (Critical Environment Services).
What is Critical Environment Services?
Our Critical Environment Services (CES) division enables us to bring clean air solutions to controlled environments with strict design and operational standards all across western Canada. Our goal is to provide a complete package that keeps controlled environments clean, sterile, and safe from external environments.
**What You’ll Do**:
Corporate, Internal, and Business Development Responsibilities
- Participate in Sales, or related, department meetings as needed to discuss existing and new accounts, sales leads, customer service issues, sales performance to plan, and set direction for coming weeks.
- Provide technical support to sales, corporate team, and service technicians.
- Travel with sales and service teams to customer sites with the purpose of providing support, technical expertise, for strategic calls, filtration system audits and service estimates and service work.
- Stay up to date on industry developments, HVAC equipment, filtration solutions, new industrial/commercial projects in area, etc., and presents new ideas/approaches to Corporate Service Manager.
- Participate in the review and introduction of new products and services.
- Engages in market scanning, gathering local intelligence, industry awareness, local competitive activities, and keeping abreast of customer developments & trends to identify new business opportunities; regularly reviews with Corporate Service Manager.
- Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of air quality testing equipment, processes and regulations, filtration products & equipment, HVAC equipment, preventive maintenance systems, communication tools, time management practices, and problem resolution techniques.
- Coach, mentor, and develop CES Technicians, providing feedback on an ongoing basis.
CES / HEPA / IAQ Field Services Responsibilities
- Performs certification testing services on filtration equipment, fume hoods, biosafety cabinets etc. to Hospitals, Labs, Pharmacies, and other facilities with such equipment.
- Performs air quality assessments for offices, industrial spaces etc. and recommends filtration solutions where applicable.
- Responsible for determining and recommending solutions to issues surfaced through certification testing.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with operators of medical facilities, pharmacies, and hospitals.
- Supports the field and customer service teams with expertise related to certification and air quality solutions.
- Continually looking for new prospects through referrals from existing customers, additional needs of existing filter customers or building new relationships with industrial, commercial, institutional businesses in the marketplace.
- Provides monthly updates and progress reports on activities and/or business development plan along with proposed modifications to the Corporate Service Manager.
- Participates when requested in the orientation, training and mentoring for all new department staff.
- Maintains a culture of resolving all customer complaints in a professional manner, seeking to find a resolution that meets the best interests of both the customer and BGE.

**What You Bring**:
- 5-10 years of leadership experience in service oriented technical fields
- Mechanically inclined with strong organizational and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel and the ability to quickly learn new programs
- Personable with good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with HEPA filtration, biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, and other air quality equipment is an asset
- Safety conscious attitude
- All applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment and pre-access drug and alcohol test
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license (non-GDL), clean driver’s abstract, and three years of insured driving histor
