**NewRock Developments Inc is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk** to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

**This is a full-time position - 40 hours a week starting at 8:00 AM and finishing at 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.**

**Responsibilities**
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedure
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Generate reports detailing accounts payable status
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers
- Understands the compliance issues around accounts payable processes (GST, PST and WCB)

**Requirements and Skills**
- Proficiency in Quickbooks, Excel and Outlook
- Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands on experience with spreadsheets
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in English
