Clinical Extern

**Kemptville District Hospital** is seeking multiple **Clinical Externs** to join our growing team

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Attends to the personal care, nutritional, emotional, mobility, and safety needs of patients.
- Bed Linen Changes
- Personal Care and Grooming
- Toileting
- Answering Bells
- Passing/Collecting Trays
- Stocking Supplies/Carts
- Obtain/Document Vital Signs
- Obtain/Document Weights
- Ambulation/Transfers
- Portering
- Emptying Catheters/Ostomy
- Documenting Intake and Output
- Glucoscans/QC Checks
- Assist with Feeding/Snacks
- Assist with Repositioning
- Assist with Mechanical Lift
- Observe/Report Changes in Patient Condition to Registered Staff
- Directed to Assist with Emergency Situations
- Participates in learning opportunities with Manager/Registered Nurse mentor
- Other duties as delegated by their Manager/Registered Nurse mentor

**Qualifications**:

- BScN students - Must have completed their 1st year of studies;
- Practical Nursing students - Must have completed their 2nd year of studies;
- Current BCLS;

Pay: $17.46 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
