Full-Time Permanent Position

RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER

You will be working with young adults who require full supportive care as well as assisting all other residents residing in the home. You will be a integral part in providing quality care in their day to day lives as well as helping and aiding them in developing life skills and community inclusiveness. You will help enrich their lives, develope lifelong friendships and ensure they live the best life they deserve.

Duties and Expectations
- provide and assist with personal care (hygenie, toileting, grooming, ect..)
- assist in supporting the social and emotional health needs of each resident
- organizing, developing and facilitating intergration as well as inclusion of social and community activities
- protect the health, safety, welfare and independance of each resident
- ensure the completion of all aspects of resident care as outlined in their individual support plans and behavioural support plans
- interact with residents families as well as external community resources
- manage and assist with challenging behaviours
- completion of general housekeeping and chores of the home
- assist with medication administration and documentation of daily care
- work collaboratively with the team and co-workers
- assist with mobility transfers and scheduled physiotherapy

The rotation will include days, evenings and weekends

Full-time permanent position available.

NOTE: All positions require a valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required
- DSW, PSW, or relevant education and experience in the field are preferred but not required
- Cooking and cleaning skills.
- Ability to follow direction and work as a member of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Police Vulnerable Sector Background check
- Willingness to be trained to work with challenging behavioural situations
