We are a local senior care company serving Ottawa for the past 14 years. We hire older adults from all walks of life that have the life experience needed to identify with the unique needs of aging individuals.

We are looking for older individuals interested in providing **home support, assistance & care services** to elderly individuals in our communities. Ideal for **retired or semi-retired individuals **looking to put their time towards purposeful work by helping make a difference in the lives of seniors in our communities, while offering loved ones much-needed respite & peace of mind.

We carefully match you up with clients so your skills match their needs so you can develop meaningful, close bonds with seniors and their families that need and value your help.

**Duties include**:

- **Companionship** - spending quality, one on one time with seniors; engaging them in conversation on topics of interest to them; doing activities they enjoy
- **Home Help**:

- home maintenance/household tasks, laundry, meal preparation, etc.
- **Transportation** to appointments, to help run errands, collect groceries, etc. (using your own vehicle, if feasible)
- **Cleaning / Housekeeping**:

- vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning/sanitizing surfaces, cleaning kitchen, bathrooms, etc.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Passionate about the well-being of seniors & open to providing a variety of home care services
- Previous employed, volunteer, or personal experience with assisting seniors, providing home care or caregiving services, or working with the senior population in other capacities
- Strong work ethic, compassionate, reliable, punctual, good time management, efficient, attentive
- Flexible availability on weekdays during working hours
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills (fluent in English)
- Vulnerable Sector Check not older than one year (or otherwise willing to obtain)
- Able to provide at least two professional references

**The following are assets but not required**:

- _Valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle_
- _Evening and/or weekend availability_
- _Bilingual (English & French)_

**SENIORS ON SITE**:
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 2 - 24 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
