Live in Treatment Supervisor

**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, Community Mental Health, the **Supervisor for Live-in Treatment Services** is responsible to provide oversight to the effective, efficient, and safe operation of Kinark’s 24/7 Live-in Treatment program located in Barrie, Ontario. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality treatment in this licensed, 5-bed program for children and youth with complex mental health needs and their caregivers. The Live-in Treatment Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision to front line staff providing direct care and treatment to children and youth. The Live-in Treatment Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that services and quality improvement strategies are delivered in accordance with Kinark Policies and Procedures, mandated legislation, and best practice approaches.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- **People Management**: Hire, train, and provide performance management; team building; administrative responsibilities for staff; on call responsibilities.
- **Clinical Oversight**: Implement and monitor client treatment plans; crisis management; communicate with stakeholders (the clinical team, families, other service providers); review and provide analysis of mandated incident reporting; assist with developing client behavior management plans, participate in intake assessments; medication management. On-site support and coaching of staff individually and as a team to deliver clinical model; clinical supervision of Live-in Treatment Child and Youth Workers; facilitate regular meetings for clinical and operational purposes.
- **Program Management**: Oversee the operation of the residence - budget, licensing and accreditation, health and safety, risk management, reporting, scheduling, monitoring physical plant. Ensure equitable, diverse and inclusive services are embedded in programming. Develop and implement organizational quality improvement strategies.
- **Relationship Management**: Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with colleagues (management team and Interdisciplinary team), community partners and clients to manage service deliverables, resolve issues; participate in projects and provide input and advice; collaborate with assigned clinicians to develop treatment approaches.
**Qualifications**:
- Relevant university degree preferred/ Child and Youth Worker college diploma considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience is required.
- Knowledge of best practices for treatment approaches and crisis management is an asset.
- Knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Service Act and other relevant legislation is an asset.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre

**Kinark Child and Family Services conditions of employment include but are not limited to successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, completed Pre-Employment Medical certificate, and proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. **Fully vaccinated is defined as having received all required doses of a World Health Organization Approved COVID-19 Vaccine at least one of which being approved for use in Canada and 14 days have passed since your last dose. Proof of vaccination for each vaccine dose received is required.
