Ethier Sand & Gravel is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated employee with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Loader Operator. This position is in the Greater Sudbury, Ontario area and is a full-time seasonal position available with an extensive benefits package, a company pension plan, and competitive wages.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate a front-end loader.
- Perform mandatory pre and post vehicle inspections.
- Perform daily pre-ops and attend daily safety meetings.
- Identify, report and correct hazards.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment.
- Perform regular cleaning of motor vehicles and mobile equipment to control dust (inside and outside cab).
- Physical work includes lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, crouching, climbing, crawling and reaching repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Travel to job sites with overnight stays on occasion.
- Scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Constantly monitor vehicle fitness, and ever-changing conditions.
- Maintain accurate electronic hour of service logs and vehicle inspections.
- Team player and display professionalism toward our company and customers.
- Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

**Job Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Valid G class drivers license is required.
- Minimum 1 year experience operating a front-end loader.
- Experience in pits and quarries is considered an asset.
- Surface Miner Common Core is considered an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
