Apprentice Plumber/gas Fitter

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Support the assembly of piping systems, fixtures, and related components
- Participate in site preparation, including carpentry and basic construction tasks
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues with plumbing or mechanical systems
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
- Support routine maintenance activities on plumbing equipment and systems

**Requirements**:

- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, carpentry, HVAC, or related trades is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams; basic math skills are necessary for measurements and calculations
- Strong interest in learning plumbing techniques and construction practices
- Ability to work safely with construction materials and equipment in various environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team
- Prior experience in construction or maintenance trades is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
