**Irrigation Technician**

We are a professional irrigation company operating in PTBO and The Kawarthas. We work on a variety of job sites from residential to lakefront properties, from typical commercial contracts to golf courses. DUTIES
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, including controllers, valves, pipes, and sprinkler heads.
- Conduct system inspections to identify and address issues related to water efficiency, coverage, and overall system functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as adjusting watering schedules, replacing damaged components, and ensuring proper system operation.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving concerns, and offering guidance on irrigation system usage and optimization.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in irrigation to enhance skills and knowledge.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Proven experience as an Irrigation Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, components, and water management principles.
- Familiarity with various irrigation system types, including drip irrigation, sprinkler systems, and smart controllers.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with irrigation systems efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Irrigation certification or relevant industry training is a plus.
- Must have steel toe boots
- Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly
- Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions
- Must be able to drive and tow equipment and operate machinery
- Maintain equipment and ensure use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Knowledge of submersible pumps, jet pumps and pressure tanks is a plus

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)
- CIT or CIC certification? (preferred)

Work Location: Peterborough and surrounding area

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

- French not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
