Warehouse Supervisor

**Trans-Plus**, our **transportation, logistics and warehousing company**, has been in existence for **27 years **now. We are growing considerably and need a **Warehouse (Hands on) Supervisor** who in addition to these supervisory duties, can operate a forklift and empty vans in order to help complete tasks. The warehouse manager is looking for a **trustworthy **person who can **be his eyes and ears** in order to make sure that all tasks are completed correctly. A person who will care for their work and **will be proud of the results of their actions.** **The supervisor’s daily objectives will consist of a wide variety of tasks, such as**: - Verifying the completion of trips (filling trucks) - Manage and plan; the floor and the staff - Shifts, employee attendance and future needs. - Establish "KPI" (Performance indicator) - Verify and manage orders, shipping and receiving - 42 doors / twenty trucks to unload per day and more than 30 employees - Manage inventory - Raise awareness and be a health and safety representative, suggest improvements, set an example, train employees to be safe. - Motivate and give the team daily tasks and goals. - Encourage teamwork, communication and relationships within the Warehouse team As well as with all other employees and customers. - Preparations for the next day (Take out the pallets for the next morning's trucks, prepare the orders, etc.) **We are looking for a person who is**: - **Hard-working**, able to help each employee. - Focused on **health and safety at work.**: - Ability to communicate well in French. - A **licensed forklift operator **and has **experience with the Raymond Reach**. - **Attentive and meticulous**, who will be able to verify that the trucks are loaded properly, that the pallets are well packed - **Experienced in warehouse / in transport / on lifts and in management**. **Our advantages**: - Very little manual work - Opportunities for advancement - Insurance plan: - Dental / life / health / long term disability / dependents - Annual salary review - Vacation **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Disability insurance - Extended health care - Flexible schedule - Life insurance - On-site parking Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Evening shift - Night shift Ability to commute/relocate: - Montréal, QC H4S 1S8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) **Experience**: - warehouse: 2 years (preferred)
