**Position overview**

Reporting to the General Manager, the Estimator supports customer request by providing accurate production cost estimation. The owner collaborates with all departments to ensure that his evaluation of cost and feasibility are accurate and that commitments are achievable within the required costs and timeframes.

**Evaluation of customer requests**
- Analyse the risk levels of the request for quotation as per the established process
- Request updated price of required material, hardware and services from the procurement department
- Ensure that customer provide documentation is complete to allow an accurate quotation
- Contact customer to gather any missing information required

**Quotations creation**
- Create quotes as per established process
- Document the risk analysis in the quotation
- Estimate the manufacturing, inspection, assembly and external services costs in collaboration with the Planning Agent
- Estimate the cost of required materials, hardware and tools
- Estimate the cost of non-recurring expenses
- Document all deviations from original requests into the 10-plan and the piece notes (document within the quotation)
- Estimate the potential delivery date of all requested parts with the support, as required, of the manufacturing and planning teams.
- Adjust and include the appropriate terms and conditions based on the nature of the quotation.
- Submit the quotations for internal revision as per standards.

**Quotes submissions**
- Provide completed quote to customers
- Follow up on delivered quotes as per requirements
- Evaluate and document customer motivations to refuse quotes and related relevant data (Price, lead time, etc.)
- Provide quote revisions when requested by customer.

**Other tasks**
- Produce costs analysis when requoting existing products.
- Participate in bid review & methods meeting to provide primary manufacturing plan.
- When required, analyze changes to the primary plan to ensure maintained profitability.
- All other tasks as required by leadership.

**Qualification Requirements**
- Completed training program as Conventional Machinist, CNC Machinist or CNC Programming.
- 2 years of experience in Machining or Programming.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in estimation.
- Experience in determining manufacturing methods.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Ability to suggest modifications to the CNC programming
- Capacity to make suggestions to improve machining
- Be detailed oriented & autonomous
- Understand the implication of different contract clauses
- Proficient with It tools usage, including the MS Office suite
- Capacity to communicate in French and English, both written and spoken

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
