All West Cold Milling is seeking an enthusiastic Flagger to work full-time, seasonally, in various locations across Alberta. Employees are responsible for their own transportation to our shop in Crossfield.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Protect workers by keeping the work space free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards
- Assist trucks in accessing and exiting work sites
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of project signage and barricades
- Communicate effectively with other traffic control workers using established signals and radio equipment to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and minimize confusion
- Maintain alertness at all times
- Able to work overtime hours when required
- Must be able to write, read, and communicate effectively in English
- Experience with safety regulations and safe practices
- Other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
- Must have a valid class 5 (or better) driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract
- Must own reliable transportation to travel to our shop in Crossfield, AB
- Must be able to communicate well with co-workers
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
- Ability to work cooperatively, independently, and with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment
- CSTS, First Aid Certifications
- Hard hats and safety gear will be provided
- Be able to work away for extended periods
- Previous road construction experience is considered an asset
**Work Conditions**
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to drive for long periods of time
- Construction season typically spans from April to November
**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 6-7 months
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
