Barque Smokehouse on Roncesvalles is looking to hire a Manager to lead Service and the Front of House team. This person will work closely with the General Manager and the owner, and ideally, take over the restaurant as the company grows.

Starting salary is 55-60K, potentially higher depending on experience.

**Basic responsibilities of the role include**:

- Providing in-person guest services.
- Training and scheduling employees.
- Ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Using a Point of Sales System.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant services.
- Understanding of employment laws.
- Inventory management.
- Smart Serve Certified.
- Food Handler Certificate is an asset.

As a restaurant, we've just transitioned to an inclusive pricing model and are part of the Ontario Living Wage Network, which means no staff member makes less than $22.25/hr. Everyone also receives paid personal/sick days, an annual allowance for extended health and dental benefits plus free dedicated mental health care through Humanacare.

We check in with staff regularly to ensure everyone is happy and progressing accordingly while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. The majority of the management team has been with the company for half a decade or more, with several other full-time staff that has been with us for years.
