**Abut the role**

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lead Planner & Scheduler to join our team in Canada. This role requires a deep understanding of construction projects, especially within the Oil and Gas and other process industries. Reporting to the Project Services Manager, this person will collaborate and coordinate with our team working in the head office in Norway.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize resources, improve efficiency, and ensure that project timelines are met. Requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively across various departments
- Coordinate all necessary input and establish schedules on all levels, assessing project length, allocating resources, and monitoring project progress
- Streamline and effectively manage all project timelines and ensure that work progression is on the right track, within planned timelines
- Developing and managing comprehensive planning processes, project schedules and timelines during all project phases (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and establish project goals
- Analyze data and trends to make informed decisions on resource allocation and project timelines
- Monitor project progress, conduct Earned Value analysis and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful completion

- Resolving and/or escalating issues in a timely fashion
- Understanding how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in planning and project management
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather input and feedback from team members
- Prepare reports, presentations, and communicate project status with stakeholders

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, or construction management
- 15 years or more of experience as a Lead Planner/ Scheduler and/or Project Planning/Scheduling Manager within large-scale industrial and/or Oil & Gas projects
- 10 years of experience working on major construction projects (USD1b)
- Expertise in project management, cost control, risk management
- Proficiency with planning software and tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly collaborative with proven ability to work independently

**Location: Onsite, South West Ontario**
- Onsite with visits to engineering offices, contractor offices and sites for walkthrough and other team meetings
