**Duties/Responsibilities**:
Included but not limited to:

- Caregivers would live in the client’s home 24 hours a day and must be comfortable sleeping at the client’s home. The environment will include a separate sleeping accommodation and uninterrupted sleeping periods 8 to 10 hours in duration.
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, toileting, transfers, repositioning and exercises in a safe manner.
- Accompany client to doctor’s appointments or short trips as necessary.
- Housekeeping chores: laundry, folding clothes, ironing, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, change bed linens, clean bathroom, kitchen, attend to pets as necessary.
- Provide companionship and social interaction.
- Observe and report changes in the client's physical and emotional status.
- Treat clients with dignity and respect, able to accept constructive feedback and direction.
- Ability to follow care plan and document tasks completed accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with clients and the office team.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years experience as a Live-in Caregiver
- PSW certificate or Nursing Diploma/ Degree completion or an accredited caregiver training program and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Have Driver's License and reliable transportation is an asset
- Current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid certificate
- Police record check-Vulnerable Sector within last 6 months or be willing to obtain one.
- Negative TB skin test/chest x-ray within last 12 months or willing to obtain one and up-to date immunization record.
- Need to have Smartphone and access to internet.
- Proficient verbal and written English communication skills, Ability to speak a second language considered an asset.
