Cashier

**Duties**
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Upsell products and suggest add-on items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Conduct product demos when required, showcasing features and benefits to customers
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Assist with inventory management through stocking and merchandising tasks to keep the store inviting and well-organized
- Offer bilingual support when needed to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering inquiries over the phone
- Support team members by supervising or assisting with daily store operations as needed
- Promote a positive shopping environment by practicing good communication skills and friendly engagement

**Requirements**:

- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for quick calculations during transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone
- Ability to handle cash accurately, including cash handling procedures and retail math calculations
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, or grocery store operations is advantageous
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving a diverse community effectively
- Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
- Excellent communication skills combined with a friendly attitude will help create memorable shopping experiences for every customer
