- Full Time Grocery Manager

Key responsibilities:

- Manage the daily store operations through effective merchandising, ordering, inventory and waste management;
- Be responsible for supervising the opening and closing of the store.
- Provide customer service and support a friendly shopping experience.
- Assist in development of the grocery team by supporting the training and coaching of all employees.
- Oversees and supervise the activity and performance of floor staff.
- Train and develop department associates in customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely replenishment
- Maintain a clean and safe department for customers and employees.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Job Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of grocery experience with Loblaw’s stores.
- Minimum Grade 12 Education
- Excellent organization with a clear and effective communication style, both written and oral.
- Demonstrate good judgement and decision-making skills while communicating with customers and team members.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with excellent communication in order to motivate and develop associates.
- Ability to learn manual and automated systems and tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- Food Safe and First Aid Certification are considered assets
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Must be available to work anytime (Days, Nights, Weekends and Holidays).
