POSITION OVERVIEW
As an IT Specialist, Tech-café, Executive support, you will provide technical support to executives as well as in-person technical support at the Tech-café.
In addition, you will ensure the proper functioning of audio-visual equipment and conference room systems for in-person corporate events attended by the Office of the President, members of the Senior Management Committee (SMC) and BDC's Executive Vice-Presidents, as well as many other events that may take place on BDC's premises.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET- Greet employees at the Tech-Café and offer technical support, replace defective devices as needed after analysis (laptops, mobile devices and accessories)-
- Provide professional on-site support and technology monitoring for audio-visual equipment and conference room systems;- Provide personalized support to employees and senior management, including:
- Ensure the start of videoconference calls;- Provide real-time technical support during events in our spaces provided for this purpose and in hybrid or virtual mode (sound and video);- Ensure the management of incidents related to communications platforms, including videoconferencing infrastructure and equipment in our spaces by working with service providers and internal partners.- Provide assistance and support required outside of normal business hours for senior management employé.es- Document technical knowledge in the form of a knowledge base (KB).
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- DEC or relevant training in computer science, audiovisual (an asset);- Technical support, IT support technician or similar role.- Strong sense of customer service and priority management with excellent problem-solving and communication skills;- Ability to provide step-by-step technical assistance, written and/or verbal;- Excellent oral and written communication in both official languages (English and French);- Availability to work evenings and weekends, on short notice, to travel across Canada for Board meetings;- Rigor and autonomy;- Work full-time in person, 5 days a week.
