Ridgewood is a subdivision of Ameriwood Home, a division of the Dorel Home segment of Dorel Industries, who specializes in domestically manufactured and imported RTA furniture sold through the brick & mortar sales channel throughout the United States and Canada. For our Cornwall facility, we are searching for a:
Robot Operator
(1st Shift - 7:00AM - 3:30PM)
$21.80/hour
**Job Summary**:

- Setting up the machine for upcoming orders according to the production schedule template.
- Ensure efficient operation of the robot.
- Performs routine quality checks.
- Maintaining materials in the right order with a pallet jack lift.
- Completes load tags, tally sheets and production reporting forms.
- Help to train and guide new employees (labourers or operators) with the proper operation of respective machines.
- Maintain workstations clean and safe.
- Performs general labourer duties as directed.
- Perform other related tasks.

**Requirements**:

- Obtain a passing grade on a written and practical test.
- Demonstrate the ability to use and understand a metric/imperial measuring tool such as measuring tape and calipers.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to operate pallet jack lifts safely.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Physically fit and able to lift 25 kg.
- Able to distinguish colours and small details.
- Position requires continuous standing, bending, and walking.
- Basic computer skills, able to use the Orca scan software and familiarity with using tablets.
