**Position Overview**:
The Estimator / Sales Representative plays a dual role — preparing accurate and competitive estimates for fencing projects while also building strong relationships with prospective clients to secure new business. This position combines technical estimating skills with consultative sales techniques to help grow the company’s customer base and maintain a reputation for quality, value, and service.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Estimating**
- Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess measurements, terrain, access, and special installation considerations.
- Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring accurate and competitive proposals.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, materials, and labor costs.

**Sales & Customer Engagement**
- Act as the first point of contact for potential clients, responding to inquiries quickly and professionally.
- Present estimates in a way that clearly explains value, scope, and benefits, helping customers make confident decisions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Identify upsell opportunities (e.g., higher-grade materials, additional features) that improve both customer satisfaction and project profitability.
- Follow up on bids and proposals to close sales and meet revenue targets.
- Represent the company at industry events, home shows, or community functions to promote services.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in estimating and/or sales, preferably in fencing, construction, or related trades.
- Strong knowledge of fencing materials, installation methods, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a persuasive, customer-focused approach.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Specifically Excel, and estimating software, including but not limited to Blue Beam and AutoCAD.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple opportunities at once.
- Valid “G” driver’s license minimum.
- Grade 12 education.

**Working Conditions**:

- Office-based with frequent travel to job sites and client meetings.
- Mix of indoor and outdoor work, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional extended hours to meet client needs or bid deadlines.

**Compensation & Benefits**:

- Wage: $28-$32/Hour base plus annual bonus %
- Benefits package included in base pay

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
