**Shipper/Receiver**

We are currently looking for motivated and reliable Shipper/Receiver for full-time work (12 hour shifts)

JOB DUTIES:

- Assist the kitchen technician with daily set-up and maintaining an ongoing supply of ingredients and removal of waste from the mezzanine as communicated by the kitchen technician.
- Receiving and shipping of ingredients, supplies, packaging materials, equipment etc.
- Accountable for processing & production materials inventory and ensure proper record keeping.
- Shippers are required to keep their area clean and perform all shipper tasks in a safe manner.
- Coordinate with Team Leader & QRO any material receiving problem and quality non-conformance issues.
- Reports Human & Food safety issues/incident to Processing Line Lead/Team Leader or designate.
- SANITATION - Duties include but are not limited to cleaning of waste rendering bins, garbage compactor room, shipping/receiving /loading dock area and the parking lot as needed.
- Night shift duties include but not limited to dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing the production/packaging areas, general plant cleaning and use of Forklift. Mechanical ability required. Persons must obtain knowledge of cleaning agents, their uses and safety precautions to be taken when using them.

HOURS OF WORK: 12 Hour shift work (5:00 am - 5:00 pm) Thursday - Saturday with 1 Sunday in a 4 week period

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Must be able to work with strong odours and food allergens.
- Some positions may involve repetition, heavy lifting, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Personal protective equipment provided (such as hairnets, safety shoes, hard hats and earplugs).

COMPETENCIES:

- Strong Leadership skills
- Technical background or equivalent
- High Degree of organizational skills.
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows and Maximo CMMS).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with internal and external people at all levels.
- Tenacious, highly motivated self-starter with strong organization and prioritization skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must pass knowledge exams as well as Hands on Demonstration
- Will be a member of the Shipping Natural Work Group
- Must participate in Continuous Improvement (CI).
- Must be physically capable of performing all functions of this position (PDA completion will be required).
- Must complete the HACCP and MQIS training and be able to perform regulatory food safety HACCP checks and MQIS data entry in detail
- Possess good mechanical aptitude
- Other duties as assigned by the Line Lead, or Team Leader.
- 14 Day x 12 hour training period applies.
- Must be a team player and be able to work under production pressure.
- Must have the ability to Cross train and instruct
- Must work safely, stay alert and efficient at all times
